I signed up for this program ( http://www.mec.es/sgci/usa/en/programs/us_assistants/default.shtml ) in April of 2009 and was put on the waiting list. Well, someone had to drop out of the program (a few weeks before it started) and I was next on the list.......so now all of the sudden I am off to Huelva, Spain! I will get paid 700 euros (very little, but enough for rent and food) each month to help teach english at a middle school in the center of the city. I was told that I will only work 4 days a week, 15 hours a week, so hopefully that will leave a lot of time for traveling around. The plan is to keep this blog updated with pics and descrips all of my experiences.
